Cassidy Jones Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a telemetry business, who’ve been providing leading real-time asset management solutions to the utilities sector for over a decade. We’re recruiting for a Supply Chain Technician to join their team in Tadworth.

 

The main responsibility of this role is to provide technical support and repair services on all products released to customers, including configuring and Goods Inwards Testing of products prior to dispatch, along with the packing and distribution of orders. This is a busy and hands- on role which requires attention to detail and prioritisation.  A methodical and common-sense approach to the role is essential, as much of the role is working on your own initiative.

 

The Role:

 

  • To provide an efficient and effective service to check and inspect goods received and dispatched to ensure they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality, whilst ensuring compliance to relevant policies and procedures.

  • To pick and pack goods for customers including performing product testing and configuration (where applicable) prior to despatch, booking collections. 

  • Process product failures returned from the field in the company repairs system, assess repairs and Warranty Issues and manage the administration to its full conclusion.

  • Assist with the prioritising and actioning of Helpdesk calls in accordance with agreed customer service level agreements

  • Maintain and be accountable for equipment and tools stores including carrying out regular stock takes and quality control. Maintain laboratory test equipment and ensure laboratory and stores integrity and cleanliness.


Requirements:

 

  • General education including GCSE passes or equivalent.

  • Relevant technical qualification in an engineering discipline, (preferably electronic engineering or computer science).             

  • Some experience gained in an electronic engineering environment.

  • Logistics/supply chain experience desirable

  • Experienced user of IT equipment and Microsoft Office Software suite.

  • Team player.

  • Able to work on own initiative and with minimum levels of supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills, written skills and telephone manner.

  • Confident and outgoing.
