LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ADMIN ASSISTANT

Epsom | up to £20,000pa | Permanent

Cassidy Jones Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known Financial Services company, recruiting for a Legal & Compliance Admin Assistant to join their head office team in Epsom.

 

This is a junior role with a salary up to £20K. Ideally, we are looking for a graduate with some administration experience, mortgage admin experience would be an advantage but not essential. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills by being able to manage your time effectively, plan and prioritise workloads for both departments. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential along with the ability to quickly assimilate & understand new information.

 

The Role:

 

Legal Services

 

  • Assist with the Legal Services function, including administrative systems and appropriate filing systems.

  • Administration of deeds in and out including logging receipt, checking and despatch and the maintenance of relevant records.

  • Assistance with the administration, proper use and locking/storing of the Company’s seal.

  • Assist with the data inputting and checking of information.

  • Assist with the use of web-based applications and downloading of information.

  • Conduct Land Registry searches.

  • Liaise with external suppliers and maintain business relationships with third parties as required.

 

Compliance

 

  • Assist with the Compliance function, including administrative systems and appropriate filing systems.

  • Under the supervision of the Compliance Officers assist in the implementation and maintenance of the 1st level compliance monitoring program.

  • Assist with the 1st level of recording, reviewing and approval of external customer communication, including website and online services (FCA Principle 7).

  • Produce internal management information or other reports as requested relating to the compliance function within specified timescales.

  • Assist with the 1st level review of AML transaction monitoring reports and sanctions/PEP screening referrals.

 

Requirements:
 

  • At least 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C (minimum grade C in Maths and English). Graduate level preferred.

  • Experience working in an admin role is essential, mortgagee admin experience would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Excellent organisational skills essential.

  • Excellent communication skills & telephone manner.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
