Are you an excellent communicator with the dedication to provide first class customer service? Our client, a premium insurance provider, are looking for a Team Manager to join their Business Operations team at their stunning Wimbledon offices.


About the role

The team manager is responsible for motivating, supporting and leading one of the administration teams to deliver exceptional levels of performance, whilst ensuring the firm’s customer strategy is executed with pace and rigour.

The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge to build an environment that delivers its results through the engagement of its people, and one that fosters personal growth.


The Role:

  • Maximise the performance of your team against defined SLAs and KPIs through effective real time management.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Recording statistics, performance levels of the team and preparing management reports as required.

  • To be a point of reference for complex queries and escalations.

  • Play a significant role in long-term planning.

  • Manage and seek to improve the operational systems, processes and policies within the department.

  • Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee on boarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.

  • Be a driver of an inclusive and engaging work environment.

  • Hold regular one-to-ones with direct reports.


  • Experience gained within a similar role, preferably within an administrative team.

  • Experience within the financial services industry highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership and change management skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Strong planning and delivery management.

  • Excellent written, oral communication skills and Interpersonal skills.

  • Competent experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am- 5:30pm with one hour for lunch (37.5 hours per week). There is a 6 month probation period.
